Cookie Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage Launch Commons (launchcommons.com) uses, what each one is for, and how you can control them.

1. What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage and session storage do a similar job: they let a site remember small pieces of information between pages and visits. In this policy, “cookies” means all three.

First-party cookies are set by Launch Commons itself. Third-party cookies are set by another company whose service we use on our pages.

2. What we use

We keep this short on purpose. Launch Commons has no advertising cookies, no ad trackers, and no cross-site tracking, and we don't sell anything we learn from cookies.

Strictly necessary

The site can't work properly without these, so they don't need your consent.

Video performance

Set by our video player when you watch a video. They help creators see how their videos do and help us fix playback problems.

3. Google and GitHub sign-in

If you choose “Continue with Google” or “Continue with GitHub”, you sign in on their website, and they may set their own cookies there under their own cookie policies. Launch Commons doesn't receive or read those cookies.

4. Your choices

  • Log out to remove the sign-in items straight away.
  • Clear your browser's cookies and site data to remove everything on this page. Every browser has this in its privacy settings.
  • Block cookies in your browser settings. You can still browse and watch videos, but you can't stay signed in to Launch Commons without its sign-in cookie.
  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: we don't use cookies for advertising or to track you across other sites, so there is nothing extra for these signals to switch off.

You can learn more about managing cookies at allaboutcookies.org.

5. Changes to this policy

If we start using a new cookie, we'll add it to this page and update the date at the top. If we ever want to use cookies for anything beyond what's listed here, such as analytics or advertising, we'll ask for your consent first.
